Photography/Videography Summer Intern

Justin’s Place a faith-based organization that exist to impact the life of a child by empowering mothers to grow spiritually, mentally, and physically to live a life free of crisis and walk out of generational poverty.

Each week, we see God changing the lives of the people that we interact with. As the photography/videography intern, your job is to creatively capture moments that engage our donors, volunteers, and constituents to take part in our fight against cyclical poverty.

We are looking for both a videographer and photographer. You do not need to be affluent in both videographer and photography to apply! If you feel stronger at one than the other, that's okay! 

Interns will work 15-25 (hours are flexible on case-by-case basis) hours per week at the Justin’s Place office in Fort Worth, TX. Summer internship will begin on June 1st, 2019 and end August 14th, 2019. The internship is unpaid.

 

Responsibilities

⁃               Take, edit, and catalog videos/photos of JP events and programming

⁃               Prepare images and videos for promotional use, web and print

⁃               Assist with CRM database by organizing photos and videos of volunteers

⁃               Build relationships our constituents by being present at all of our events, including All In, Multiply, Mom’s Night Out, and any other special events.

⁃               Attend weekly all-team meetings

⁃               Meet with Director of Programming weekly to plan, problem-solve, and assess progress.

 

Required Knowledge & Skills

⁃               Own a professional camera

⁃               Demonstrated photography and photo editing experience

⁃               Proficient in photography techniques, including lighting and camera positioning among others

⁃               Must possess a strong understanding of digital and social media practices

⁃               High attention to detail

⁃               Able to work independently and take initiative

⁃               Passion for Justin’s Place mission
